FOR PASTORS

I would highly encourage all Pastors to invite Stephan and Leslie Delorenzo to speak and minister at your church. Their story and ministry would be a great blessing and encouragement to those that lost a child. I have known Pastor Stephan for three years, and he is truly a man of God. Their heart is for those who are grieving to find hope and encouragement after a loss. Pastor Stephan and Leslie have a lot to offer; please consider partnering with them as they fulfill their call with Josiah’s journey. I promise you won’t regret it!

Stephan and Leslie DeLorenzo minister out their experience as hurting parents who lost two precious children. Ruthie and I were honored to journey with them in the some of the darkest days that a parent can experience. Their unshakable faith and unwavering commitment to Christ sustained them and has provided a platform from which they touch others who likewise bear burdens seemingly too great bear. With the comfort they have received, they comfort others, pointing them to the God of all comfort Himself.

If you have the opportunity to have Stephan and Leslie Delorenzo speak at your event you won’t regret it! They are relatable and personable while also so compelling, encouraging, and compassionate. When Stephan and Leslie are speaking, whether it be in a crowd or one-on-one, you can see the power of God that is at work in their life and the way that power and love flows out of them and into other’s lives. Their story is incredible, not because of anything that they have done other than being yielded to God and trusting Him with their story. It is one that you will not want to miss.

Dear Pastor or Ministry Leader,

Leslie and I recently ministered to a young lady who had lost her baby girl just five short minutes after her birth. This broken-hearted mom was struggling with depression and hopelessness wondering where God was in her sorrow. We listened to her story, cried with her, and then we shared our story of our little Josiah.

On Christmas Day 2015, Josiah Andrew DeLorenzo entered this life and a short fifteen minutes later went to be with Jesus. Frequently, this kind of pain can only be fully understood by those who “have been there.” Through that time of trauma and suffering, we found comfort in the God of all comfort. We are now being obedient to Christ’s call to comfort others with the comfort that He has given us (1 Co. 1:3-5). It wasn’t long after Josiah journeyed into the arms of Jesus that the Lord led us to found Josiah’s Journey. The aim of Josiah’s Journey is to comfort, inspire, and witness to people dealing with hurt, specifically due to the loss of a child, and help them understand that God loves them and desires a relationship with them.

The Lord has provided us with an amazing opportunity. We have become full time Assemblies of God U.S. Missionaries. We couldn’t be more excited! Our family of five will be living out of a fifth wheel camper, traveling the United States, sharing our testimony of how Jesus comforted and guided us through our traumatic and heartbreaking experience of losing Josiah.  We will minister in churches to many who are hurting from the almost inconsolable pain of losing a child. We will conduct seminars and provide resources to those hurting parents and families and to those who are called to minister to them. Finally, we will minister personally to hurting parents like the dear lady I mentioned above. Many are like her. It is our honor to lead them to the only One who can comfort them in their sorrow and bring purpose out of their devastation.

Our story is a story of hope for anyone asking, “Why do bad things happen to good people?” and “Why does God allow suffering?” Josiah’s Journey and God’s story answer these questions in ways that are both sensitive and life-giving so that a person or family who is grieving can come to the understanding of who God is and that He is the ultimate comforter.

You can find a short video of our story on our page at www.josiahsjourney.org/about-us/our-story/. As Assemblies of God U.S. Missionaries, our mission is to bring comfort, healing, and revival to the United States. But we can’t do it alone.

We would be honored to have the opportunity to partner with you. Would you consider partnering with us financially as a monthly sponsor?  Would you add us to your prayer list; would you consider partnering with us by speaking with your pastor to see if we can serve your church through sharing our testimony on a Sunday morning service, or at another appropriate time. We want to be a resource to all church leaders who are helping hurting parents deal with loss.

Thank you in advance for your love and generosity in partnering with us as we obey the call of seeking to save the lost all across the United States so that none perish.

Blessings in Christ,

Stephan and Leslie DeLorenzo
